JOSEPH A. DEL RUSSO is an attorney and former Chief Assistant Prosecutor with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, where he supervised sexual assault, family violence, child pornography and child maltreatment investigations in the Special Victims and Megan’s Law Units. Del Russo is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law and Past-President of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children – New Jersey (APSAC-NJ). Del Russo also directed the 2002 Passaic County Prosecutor’s inquiry into decades of alleged clergy sexual misconduct. Del Russo presently is a professor within the Montclair State University’s Robert D. McCormick Center for Child Advocacy and Policy where for 18 years he has taught courses relating to prevention, investigation and prosecution of sexual violence and child maltreatment. Del Russo has also published articles involving legal issues in abuse and neglect. He also testifies as an expert witness and has collaborated on academic research within the field of forensic interviewing. He has conducted lectures, workshops and professional trainings on child maltreatment and sexual violence through the United States.
ANTHONY V. D’URSO is a graduate of the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University and is a nationally known expert in victimology. Dr. D’Urso has developed multiple systems in the State of New Jersey to address the needs of victims of interpersonal violence including a forensic interviewing academy, child fatality and near fatality review, child welfare reform and university programs in doctoral and graduate forensic psychology, clinical psychology and clinical/child psychology and school psychology. Dr. D’Urso has been cited in four Supreme Court cases (State v. Gil, State v. Cuni, State v. Schnabel and In re WZ) and many appellate cases for his opinions in the area of sexual assault. Dr. D’Urso has functioned as a forensic and clinical psychologist for the last thirty years.
MATTHEW T. PRIORE is an attorney in private practice in addition to his position as the Municipal Attorney for the City of Clifton, New Jersey. In his private practice, Mr. Priore handles all aspects of complex civil and criminal litigation. In his capacity as the Municipal Attorney for the City of Clifton, Mr. Priore is responsible for handling all legal matters for the 10th largest city in the State of New Jersey. Mr. Priore has overseen and handled both routine and complex investigations and litigation involving allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, employment discrimination, hostile work environment, L.A.D. and C.E.P.A. claims. His risk management leadership has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings in insurance premiums to the City of Clifton, which is one of the largest municipalities that is able to be insured in the private market.
